Firm Profile The firm was started in January 2001 when Sue Wylde & Christine Addison joined forces to form a firm where a quick service at reasonable fee was the main aim. Having worked in several of the larger local firms, Sue & Christine believed that, with good systems & dedicated staff, they could provide excellent services which concentrated not simply on the processing of information, but also provided good advice on business structures, new ventures, business growth and other methods. We have been known to take on a client & completely restructure their accounting systems, resulting in improved efficiencies – and cheaper accounting fees for our client. We’re happy to do that. We don’t see that as a loss of revenue. We see that as an opportunity to provide excellent service, rather than to act as information processors. And it works. To this day, we constantly review & upgrade our own systems & we only employ staff that want to do more than process information all day. Have you ever been told by an accountant that you “have to provide your accounting information” in a certain format – e.g. bank statements, Bank Link, or that you have to go onto an MYOB format? Well, you won’t hear that from us. If you come to us, you have our permission to use whatever accounting format you want! If you want help with choosing a suitable method, we can certainly help you. But the bottom line is- we are the accountants. It is our job to make sense of the accounting information you provide – within reason – not the other way round. We are here to help you – it is not your job to make our lives easier. Simple as that. Accountants on Victoria Ltd come into being on 1st April 2006, after our shift to more up market premises in Alicetown, Lower Hutt. The beauty of Alicetown is that it is close to Lower Hutt & Petone & is accessible from Wellington & Upper Hutt.
